Paul's Home

I love it when Paul comes home. He turns on the T.V. (LOVE THE T.V. NOISE) and he reads the paper. I like to get into his lap and sit on the paper. It's nice and crinkly it makes a fun noise. Paul at first seems put out, but than scratches my chin, ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh heaven.

Noise argh, I am going to our art den, where there is no noise. I can concentrate there, maybe think of something for the animal trivia.

Smell that Matzo Ball Soup

Yummy, there is nothing like a rainy day and the smell of Matzo Ball Soup cooking in the kitchen. I always wait nearby to see if Jill will drop any fresh chicken. She is a messy cook so I usually make out well!

A rainy day again, yeah. Forget sleeping in, I am going to sleep all day and think of new things to draw for the next Pet of the Month. Sam and I have been getting great suggestions, thanks to our outstanding fans!

Table Top Dancing

Today Paul caught me walking on the table top and he told me to get down. Little does he know that when his back is turned or he is not here I lay on the table all the time. In fact I lay in the sinks and walk across the stove. I frolic on the counter tops!!! Life is good.

Sam is always pushing the envelope. Unlike me when I jump on a table or counter-top I streak across it as fast as I can. This way when I am told to get down I already am! How smart am I?

The Visitor has Left

Gary is gone. Thank goodness I was really feeling neglected. I brought out a couple of stuff animals for them to play with me, but no, no one cared. It was all about Gary. He did pet me lots which was good, however I like to have everyone's attention.

The guest has left. Now I can come out. Sam and I need to start working on the Pet of the Month it's almost September 1st, meow!!!

Guest in the House

Well a New person has been staying at our house and is sleeping in the spare bedroom. I heard his name was Harry or Gary something like that. Won't he be surprised when I open his door at night and jump on this bed?

This new person has a booming voice and boy he can tell a story. I think I am going to hide for a while.

The Pet Mixer

Paul and Jill went to the Pet Mixer last night. I overhead Paul say that around 50ppl were there and that it was fun. Wow, it gives me a warm feeling that people came out in support of us and animals everywhere. I wanted to go, but Jill said maybe next time.

Pet Mixer, sounds like so much fun. I bet all the people are nice. I wanna go! Sam and I just hung around the house and chased a spider.

The Idea Wrapped

Okay, I wanted to draw something like a mouse wrapped in plastic wrap (yummy) or something like that. But no Maggie wanted to use another picture we had drawn of our friend Lucy that had unwrapped gifts during the Holidays. My point was that it was unwrapped however Maggie insisted that this is the picture we needed to use to illustrate the word wrapped!

I love Lucy and wanted to show her off again, whats so wrong with that? Plus the cat was wrapped.

Illustration Friday

Today Maggie and I must come up with something for Illustration Friday. The subject is "Wrapped". They always pick unique topics.

Yeah it's time to be creative again. Illustration Friday is where a bunch of artists come together and challenge each other to think of interesting things to draw. It's every week. Sometimes we can't participate because we are drawing peoples animals and ideas for our website and shop!

Yummie People Food

Paul and Jill never feed us people food but sometimes we get lucky. Jill was sitting on the couch with Hummus and crackers. I swipped my paw in the Hummus, and it was good. I didn't even mind that Jill pushed me off the couch!

Jill made a Tuna sandwich (she eats a lot!) She left the pan on the stove and walked away! Left over tuna in the pan yeah, yeah

The Strange Massage Chair

This morning Jill strapped a strange black thing to one of the kitchen chairs. Paul was saying how is back hurt him and that the chair was massaging his back. I thought this was weird. So when Paul went to the bathroom, I hopped in the chair. Quite frankly it did nothing for me but freak me out. I like my ears and chin scratched, the old fashion way by humans!

Jill went running this morning. I try to express to her that I wanted to join her. I meow loudly in her face, but she didn't get it. I try to run out the door before she shuts the door, but no such luck. Currently, I just run a lot in the house.

A Rainy Day

Woke up this morning and all the animals were in the canoe again. Jill stopped by and patted my head. She called me a silly kitty (I hate that)!

It's raining outside, neat! I think I am going to think up of things to draw and paint today.

Gifts From Paul and Jill

I noticed when Jill was unpacking her suitcase, that she had brought back a little canoe. In the canoe were three little animals that looked yummie. She set the canoe down and when she went into the other room I pulled the animals out of the canoe and threw them on the floor!

When I came into the room Sam was chewing on a moose and what looks like a beaver. Ohhhh Sam's going to be in big trouble!! But wait whats this a little bear for me? Sweet!!! I think I will roll around with it nobody will know.

The Last Day of Being Along (Day Seven)

Donna told us that Paul and Jill are coming home today. I can't decide if am happy or still angry at them for leaving. I will have to sleep on it.

Sixth Day of Abandonment

I think I overdosed on catnip (found a stash in an old toy). Maggie told me her dream of being on a whale and now I am dreaming of being on a whale with a red life Jacket on, and the whale is nice!

Chased my tail today and rolled in the sunlight. After that I gazed out the window for a really long time watching a bird.

Fifth Day of Abandonment

I get the feeling that Paul and Jill are up to something. I wonder what they are up to? Are they having an adventure without us? Where are Jill & Paul?

These days I sleep a lot dreaming of fish, dolphins and whales in the ocean. Sometimes Sam is in my dreams sometimes he isn't!

Second Day of Abandonment

The lady came through the garage door again today. Her name is Donna, she is really nice. She talked to me, brushed me and made sure I had food and water. I ate today.

Sam was talking to Donna so I felt more secure and came out of hiding. She gave me great food so I let her pet me. She told me I am pretty!

Maggie and Sam's Real Home Alone Adventures

Paul surprised me for my 4oth Birthday with a trip to Canada (Vancouver)! We had a great time taking in all the beautiful sights of the country. We didn't worry about Maggie & Sam because our wonderful neighbor and friend Donna, said she would be checking on them everyday.
However when we came back Donna had a surprise for us. Apparently Maggie & Sam had been amusing themselves and Donna took notes. The following blogs are short diaries from Maggie & Sam while we were gone!
